Edalmira Rivera is the dedicated Assistant Principal at William Penn Senior High School overseeing the Freshman Academy. Born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Edalmira's early life was filled with experiences that shaped her passion for learning and community service. She began her educational journey at Harrisburg Area Community College, where she earned an associate's degree in Life Science. Driven by her love for biology, she continued her studies at Millersville University, obtaining a bachelor's degree in biology Pre-Med. Edalmira's commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments led her to pursue a Master's degree in Multicultural Education from Eastern University and is currently advancing her expertise further by working towards a Doctorate at Bowie State University.
Beyond her academic and professional accomplishments, Edalmira leads a fulfilling personal life. She has been happily married for 27 years to her high school sweetheart Daniel, and together they have three children - Jordan, Daniesha & Joniel. In her spare time, Edalmira indulges in her diverse hobbies, including DJing, gaming, and photography, which provide a creative outlet and balance to her busy life. Her role as a Latinx Assistant Principal at William Penn High School allows her to influence and inspire both students and staff, ensuring that the school remains a nurturing and effective learning environment. Edalmiraโs journey is a testament to her unwavering commitment to education, her community and most of all her students.
