As the Principal of Smith STEAM Academy Pre-K-8, I bring over 25 years of experience to the school district, coupled with a passion for innovative education and a commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment where students thrive in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to creating inclusive and inspiring spaces that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and, as the Principal of Smith STEAM Academy Pre-K-8, I enjoy working collaboratively with teachers to incorporate cutting-edge technology and interdisciplinary learning into the curriculum. Outside of my professional life, I am a devoted family person, happily married with three grown adult sons and two beloved dogs. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and look forward to the joys of becoming a grandparent. At Smith STEAM Academy Pre-K-8, my goal is to empower every student to explore their potential, pursue their passions, and prepare for a future of limitless possibilities.
